I enjoy your 50 Years… remembering essay. I am 75 and I like your focus on software. It looks to me like except for Linux and some open source software the entire field has been a crabwalk of copyright, patents and short sighted proprietary marketing tricks.
I notice you watch your comments closely and delete many low interest writings. I have a website http://www.lowco2america.com and I get virtually no thoughtful readers.
So I say, the Web so far is only able to hold old ideas and old writing. New ideas are fragile and upsetting things that are easy so skip over. On the Web, that means there is no avant garde, no debate, no persuasion even though there are a goodly number of thinkers there.
Your Lucidbook.pdf is interesting reading but that sensation does not mean I could diagram a Baire space. When I start working on a scheme for untracable but validatable secret Russian voting I may return to your filtering examples.
